சாய்ரா பானு (பிறப்பு 23 ஆகஸ்ட் 1944), சாய்ரா பானோ என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். இந்திய திரைப்பட நடிகை மற்றும் திரைப்பட நடிகர் திலிப் குமாரின் மனைவி. 1961 முதல் 1988 வரை பல பாலிவுட் படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார். 1982ஆம் ஆண்டு கலாநிதி இயக்கத்தில் வெளிவந்த தமிழ் படமான "கடவுளுக்கு ஒரு கடிதம்" திரைப்படத்தில் நடிகர் ராஜிவுக்கு இணையாக கதாநாயகியாக நடித்தார்.[1]

சாயிரா பானு நடிகை நசீம் பானு அவர்களின் மகளாவார்.[2]

சாய்ரா தனது குழந்தை பருவத்தில் பெரும் பகுதியை லண்டனில் கழித்தார்.

தொழில்
1960 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சைரா பானு, தனது 16வது வயதில் இந்தித் திரைப்படங்களில் அவர் அறிமுகமானார்.[3]

1961 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஜங்கிளீ என்ற படத்தில் ஷாமி கபூருடன் கதாநாயகியாக அறிமுகமானார், அதில் அவர் சிறந்த நடிகைக்கான முதல் பிலிம்பேர் பரிந்துரைப் பெற்றார். இந்த படத்தின் பிரபலமான பாடல் "யாஹூ! ! சஹாய் கோய் முஜே ஜங்கிள் கே " முகம்மது ரஃபி பாடினார்.

தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை

மும்பையின் பாலி ஹில் பகுதியில் பிரபல இந்தி நடிகர் திலீப் குமாருக்கு (96) சொந்தமாக ஒரு பங்களா உள்ளது. இந்த பங்களா அமைந்துள்ள நிலத்துக்கு கட்டுமான நிறுவன அதிபர் சமீர் போஜ்வானி போலி ஆவணம் மூலம் உரிமை கொண்டாடுவதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.

.MUMBAI: Bollywood icons Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu have mourned the death of actress Nimmi, saying her demise feels like a deep sense of personal loss.

Nimmi passed away at her residence in the city on Wednesday evening. She was 88, and had been ailing for a while now. Her last rights will take place on Thursday afternoon.

A tweet from Dilip Kumar's handle read: "Message from Saira Banu Khan: Dilip Sahab and I are feeling a deep sense of personal loss at the passing away of our beloved #Nimmiji". #Nimmi ji was my elder. She had always maintained close contacts with Sahab and I through her beautiful, loving, prolific, hand-written personal letters in Urdu."

The tweet also mentioned that Nimmi spent a good time with Saira's mother Naseem Banu.

"#Nimmi ji spent good time with my mother #NaseemBanu and through my mother and my husband, I built a bond with her. Such stalwarts are rare. Nimmi ji will be missed. May Allah bless her with Jannat. I have tears in my eyes as I am dictating this to @faisalmouthshut," the tweet said.

Through the fifties and the sixties, Nimmi worked in films with most top actors, notably the Bollywood Triumvirate of the era -- Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand. One of her earliest releases was Fali Mistry's "Sazaa" starring Dev Anand in 1951. The same year, she worked with Dilip Kumar and Ashok Kumar in Nitin Bose's "Deedar".

Her other notable films include "Uran Khatola (1955) with Dilip Kumar, the Ashok Kumar-Kishore Kumar starrer "Bhai-Bhai (1956), Sohrab Modi's "Kundan" (1955), the Rajendra Kumar-starrer "Mere Mehboob" (1963) and "Akashdeep" (1965).

Among her memorable works also are Mehboob Khan's "Amar" (1954) starring Dilip Kumar and Madhubala, and Raja Nawathe's "Basant Bahar" (1956) co-starring Bharat Bhushan.

Nimmi's last release was K. Asif's much-delayed "Love And God", a retelling of the Laila-Majnu story. Asif started the project in 1963, and the film released long after his death in 1986, after several changes in the cast and crew. The released film had Sanjeev Kumar and Nimmi in the lead roles.

Saira was born into a Urdu-speaking family in India. Her mom's name is Naseem Banu. She spent much of her childhood in London and was able to debut in 1961 in a Bollywood movie 'Junglee' opposite Shammi Kapoor.

At the age of 22, she got married to Yusuf Khan, alias Bollywood superstar Dilip Kumar. Saira has a niece, Shaheen, who was once married to Bollywood actor, Sumit Saigal, and the couple have a daughter, Sayesha.

Her husband Dilip Kumar revealed in his 2014 memoir "Dilip Kumar: The Substance and the Shadow" that she became pregnant in 1972 with their son, but that she developed high blood pressure in her eighth month of pregnancy and the doctors couldn't save the baby, which has been strangulated by the umbilical cord. After that, they never had children, believing that it was God's will.

Saira Banu's brother Sultan Ahmed is married to a lady named Rahat. Rahat, was once married to director Mehboob Khan's son Ayub. From this marriage Ayub and Rahat has two boys, Afzal Khan and Aslam Khan. Later Ayub and Rahat divorced Rahat would later remarry Sultan Ahmed (Saira Banu's brother). From this marriage Rahat and Sultan had a daughter named Shaheen. Shaheen would later star in Maha Sangram. Shaheen is also the mother of Sayesha.
