  WHY GANDHI LEFT CONGRESS  ON OCTOBER 24.1934. Gandhi didn't wanted his personal stature or popularity to overpower different ideologies like communist, socialist etc. Also he didn't want to fell prey to Raj propoganda that he is part of an organisation that believe in Raj Constitution ( as GOI act 1935, called for elections in provinces and Congress agreed to participate). Nehru , Bose and other intelligentia were rising in stature and Congress was not the same as it was in 1920’s when people who don't want to agree to Gandhi had to resign like Jinnah resigned for Gandhi using religion for Mass struggle during Rawlatt Satyagraha. Again he wanted to continue on his path of constructive work which he thought can be done independently after leaving Congress.
