EDWARD JENNER ,  DISCOVERED VACCINATION FOR SMALL POX  BORN 1749 MAY 17 - 1823 JANUARY 26 எட்வர்ட் ஜென்னர் (Edward Jenner மே 17, 1749 - ஜனவரி 26, 1823), இங்கிலாந்து நாட்டு மருத்துவரும் அறிவியலாளரும் ஆவார். இள வயது முதலே இயற்கை குறித்தும் தன் சுற்றுச்சூழல் குறித்தும் அறிந்து கொள்வதில் ஆர்வமுடன் இருந்தார். பெரியம்மை நோய்க்கு தடுப்பு மருந்து கண்டுபிடித்ததற்காக ஜென்னர் அறியப்படுகிறார்.[1] இவர் நோயெதிர்ப்பு முறையின் தந்தை என சிறப்பு பெற்றார். இவருடைய கண்டுபிடிப்பு பிற கண்டுபிடிப்புகளைக் காட்டிலும் மனித உயிர்களை கொடிய நோயிலிருந்து காப்பாற்ற உதவியது.[ இளமை இங்கிலாந்திலுள்ள பெர்க்க்லி என்ற நகரில் 1749-ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 17-ஆம் நாள் ஒன்பது குழந்தைகளுள் எட்டாவது குழந்தையாக எட்வர்ட் ஜென்னர் பிறந்தார்.[5] இவருடைய தந்தை ரெவரண்ட் ஸ்டீபன் ஜென்னர் அக்கிராமத்தின் புரோகிதராக இருந்தார். இது ஜென்னருக்கு மிகச் சிறந்த அடிப்படை கல்வி கிடைக்க வழிசெய்தது.[6] ஜென்னர் வோட்டனிலும் சிரென்செஸ்டரிலும் பள்ளிக் கல்வியைப் பெற்றார்.[7] இச்சமயத்தில் தான் பெரியம்மை நோய்க்கு தடுப்பு மருந்து கண்டுபிடிக...
