RACHANA ,ACTRESS -MISS CALCUTTA 1994 BORN 1974 OCTOBER 2 Rachna Banerjee is an Indian Bengali film actress who has appeared in Bengali, Telugu and Odia films. She was 1994 Miss Kolkata and have won five beauty contests in India. She won Miss Beautiful Smile at the Miss India contest. She has also worked in some South Indian films.[2] Early life and career[edit] Banerjee was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She is the only child of her parents. Her original name is Jhumjhum Banerjee. Director Sukhen Das renamed her in her début film, Daan Protidan (1994). Banerjee won the Miss Calcutta contest in 1994. She won many beauty contest before her acting career. She has appeared in 35 Bengali films with Prosenjit Chatterjee. She has also done several Odia films, mostly with Siddhanta Mahapatra.
