BHONSLE ,THE MARATHA CLAN 1597-1808 The Bhonsle (or Bhonsale, Bhosale, Bhosle)[7] are a prominent group within the Maratha clan system. Traditionally a warrior clan,[8][9] some members served as rulers of several states in India, the most prominent being Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire which displaced the Moghul Empire as the preeminent political and military power in India. His successors ruled as chhatrapatis (emperors/maharajas) from their capital at Satara, although de facto rule of the empire passed to the Peshwas, the Maratha hereditary chief ministers, during the reign of Shahu I. R.D.BURMAN, MELODIOUS SONG KING  DIED 1994 JANUARY 4 எஸ்.டி. பர்மனைப் பற்றி நாம் கவனித்திருக்கிறோம். அவரது புதல்வர் ஆர்.டி. பர்மன் என்ற ராகுல் தேவ் பர்மன், இந்தியாவின் புதழ்பெற்ற இசையமைப்பாளர்களில் ஒருவர். எஸ்.டி. பர்மனின் மறைவுக்குப் பின்னர் ஹிந்தித் திரையுலகைப் பல வருடங்கள் அரசாண்டவர். ஐம்பத்து நான்கே வயதில் வாரிசில்லாமல் இறந்துவிட்டாலும்கூட, இன்றும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான இசை ரசிகர்களால் விரும்பிக் கேட்கப்படும் பல பாடல்கள் இவர் இசைத்தவையே. ஆர்.டி. பர்மனின் முதல் ட்யூன், அவரது ஒன்பதாவது வயதில் இசையமைக்கப்பட்டது என்பது ஆச்சரியமானது. சிறுவயதில் அவர் கம்போஸ் செய்த ட்யூனை, ‘ஃபந்தூஷ்’ (1956) படத்தில் எஸ்.டி. பர்மனால் ‘ஆயே மெரி டோபி பலட் கே ஆ’ என்ற பாடலுக்காகப் பின்னர் எஸ்.டி. பர்மன் உபயோகித்துக்கொண்டார். ஆர்.டி. பர்மன் மிகச்சிறுவயதில் இப்படி இசையமைத்ததில் ஆச்சரியமே இல்லை. அவரது தந்தை எஸ்.டி. பர்மன் எப்படியெல்லாம் இசை கற்றுக்கொண்டார் என்று நாம் ஏற்கெனவே கவனித்திருக்கிறோம். அதேபோல் ஆர்.டி. பர்மனுக்கும், தந்தையிடமிருந்தும், பின்னர் அலி அக்பர் கான் (சரோட்), சம்தா பிரஸாத் (தப்லா)...

SERFOJI II BHONSLE ,THE LAST KING OF TANJORE BORN  1777 SEPTEMBER 24 Serfoji II Bhonsle (Marathi: सर्फोजी, Tamil: சரபோஜி) (September 24, 1777 – March 7, 1832) was the last ruler of the Bhonsle dynasty of the Maratha principality of Tanjore to exercise absolute sovereignty over his dominions.
