ONAM FESTIVAL ஓணம் பண்டிகை ஏன் கொண்டாடுகிறோம்னு எல்லாத்துக்கும் தெரியும் ஆனா எதுக்காக மகாபலியை வென்றார் என்று கேட்டால் ...பதில் தெரியாது ??????? மஹாபலி சக்கரவர்த்தி கீழ் ஏழு லோகத்தையும் ,மேலே ஏழு லோகத்தையும் வென்றார் .அவை அதல ,விதல ,சுதல ,தலாதல ,ரசடல ,மஹாதல ,பாதாள லோகங்கள் ஆகும் அதே போல மேல் உலகத்தில் உள்ள பூலோக,,புவர்லோக ,சுவர்லோக ,மஹர்லோக ,ஜனலோக ,தபோலோக .சத்தியலோக (பிரம்மா வீடு ) ஆகிய அனைத்தையும் கைப்பற்றி இந்திரனையும் ஓடஓட விரட்டி விட்டார் . இதில் இன்னொருவர் அதிதி . இந்த அதிதியின் தாயாருக்கு மஹாவிஷ்ணு ஒரு வரம் அளித்திருந்தார் . அதிதியின் மகன் வாமனனை காப்பாற்றுவதாக ! மேலும் ஒரு அசுரன் தேவலோகத்தையும் ஆள்வது துயரத்தையே அளித்தது .எனவே இந்த உலகத்தை காப்பதற்காக வாமனன் உருவம் கொண்டு வந்தார் நான் எல்லோரும் பக்த பிரகலாதா படம் பார்த்திருப்போம் - . அந்த பக்த பிரகலாதனின் பேரன் தான் இந்த மாவலி

PONAM FESTIVAL CELEBRATED IN HYDERABAD /SECUNDERABAD  ON ACCOUNT OF AADI 18 .‘போனம்’ என்னும் சொல், போஜனம் என்பதிலிருந்து தெலுங்குக்குச் சென்றதாகும். இது சாப்பாட்டைக் குறிக்கும். ‘பொனலு’ என்றும் ‘போனாலு’ என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும் இந்தத் திருவிழா, ஆந்திராவில் தெலுங்கானா பகுதியில், குறிப்பாக ஹைதராபாத், செகந்திராபாத் பகுதியிலும் அதன் சுற்றுப்புறங்களிலும் கொண்டாடப்படும் திருவிழாவாகும். இத்திருவிழா சமீப காலமாகத்தான் நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது. இருந்தாலும் எல்லாத் தரப்பு மக்களும் கொண்டாடும் திருவிழாவாகவே இது உள்ளது . கி.பி. 1813-ல் ஹைதராபாத், செகந்திராபாத் நகரங்களில் உள்ள மிலிட்டரி காலனியில் காலராவும், அம்மை நோயும் தோன்றி லட்சக்கணக்கில் மக்கள் மாண்டனர். அப்போது அங்கு முகாமிட்டிருந்த ஒரு படைப்பிரிவு, உஜ்ஜயினிக்குப் பாதுகாப்புக்காகச் சென்றது. அவர்கள் உஜ்ஜயினி மகாகாளியிடம், ‘எங்கள் மக்களை இக்கொடிய நோயிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றினால் உனக்குக் கோயில் கட்டி வழிபடுகிறோம்’ என்று வேண்டினர் . மகாகாளியின் அருளால் நோய்கள் நீங்கி மக்கள் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டனர். அதற்கு நன்றி கூறும் வகையில் உஜ்ஜயினியிலிருந்து ஒர...
