actress Sri Reddy's protest against the casting couch shook the entire Telugu film industry.

As part of the protest, she stripped in front of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to prove her point. The actress, now, has accused another top actor of sexual harassment.

A few days ago, Sri Reddy took to social media and posted a cryptic message accusing Telugu actor Nani of sexual harassment.

She wrote, 

"U act very well in the real life also..on screen also natural..U look natural..but that's ur mask..U always says that u struggled in your life,but thatz the emotional hatyachar to the people..you always play super drama in front of the people..big heroes are better in front of u,who has their parents grand parents support..all they are well mannered and well disciplined.. learn from charan,mahesh babu,jr.ntr such a great co stars..they dnt have ego at all..and u have lot of attitude..U can't respect small directors who r upcoming,such a bad attitude u got that u r succeed..U got a kid recently great congratulations ..but be careful in your life,bcz u used so many girls vag.nas.. girls are still crying who f**k..d by u badly..but remember god always will be justice side..might be takes time to punish..but u wl suffer. (sic)"

She further added that Nani spoiled the life of a girl and showed her what hell is.

In the past, Sri Reddy called out producer Abhiram Daggubati, director Kona Venkat, singer Sriram Chandra, comedian Viva Harsha and producer Venkat Appa Rao for demanding sexual favours from upcoming actresses.












She also abused Pawan Kalyan and later faced the wrath of his diehard fans. In fact, she even went ahead and filed a complaint against the unruly behaviour of his fans.

Telugu actress Sri Reddy made the nation sit up and take notice when she stripped outside the Telegu Film Chamber of Commerce as a mark of protest. Sri was protesting against the casting couch in Tollywood and demanding that more roles be given to native Telugu actresses.

However, her brazen act did not go down too well with the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), who banned her and threatened to suspend any member who worked with her.

In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Sri got candid about her topless protest, the sexual exploitation of Tollywood actresses and the road ahead for her.

FAMOUS PRODUCER'S SON FORCED ME TO HAVE SEX

"I am a victim. One of the producers' sons used me in the studio. Studio belongs to the government; they have assigned the property to the guy. Why is the government giving studios?" Sri questioned.

She said she will reveal the name, but in time. "I will provide photos also. That is my Brahmastra," she said.

Elaborating about the incident of the top producer's son sexually exploiting her, Sri said, "He used to take me to the studio and he used to f**k me. He is the son of a top producer who is ruling the Telugu film industry. He used to force sex (on me). He would ask me to come to the studio and I said I will go only to talk, not for any sexual act. But after going there, he used to force (me to have) sex."

She said that studios were commonly used to exploit actresses. "Studios are the safest place to use for sex. Big directors, producers and heroes use studios as brothels. It's like a red-light area. And it is the safest place because no one will come inside; police also will not check, and the government is not taking this as a big issue," she said.

NORTH INDIAN ACTRESSES GET ROLES BECAUSE THEY SAY YES TO SEXUAL FAVOURS

Sri alleged that no opportunities were given to native Telugu actresses in Tollywood. "For the last 10-15 years, we are only watching North Indian girls as the heroine. Why not Telugu girls? A lot of people are saying that these North Indian girls who are coming from the other states, they will give them sexual favours and all. That's the reason people are showing interest towards these North or other state women. That is the only reason they are getting roles; because they are flexible to everything, and Telugu women are not," she said.

"I have faced a lot of problems with directors and producers. They have called me directly for nude video chats and nude photos. They asked me directly and I have sent, I have proofs also. But still, they are not giving us Telugu people chance," Sri claimed.

The actress alleged that native Telugu actresses were being sexually exploited, but when it came to actually giving them roles in films, they were being cheated. "They are using us only for their sexual satisfaction and the next day, at the shooting site, some other girl is there. If we ask, they say 'you don't have any right to ask me and with your wish only, you are sleeping with me. This is my decision, you don't have any right to ask me'. Girls are very innocent, that's the reason they are not giving proper replies. I'm the only person giving proper replies to them," she said.

Sri lamented, "Big directors and heroes are forcing us to sleep with producers and financiers and politicians. They are making us as a sex doll. But they are not giving us chance. What is this?"

TOP FOUR FILM FAMILIES USE THEIR INFLUENCE TO CRUSH FRESH TALENT

"A lot of people who really do not have any background (in films) like Uday Kiran; he committed suicide. Because four big families are ruling the Telugu film industry and they are using their power only for their kids. If fresh talent is coming up, they are giving wrong reviews to the websites, they are not even allowing the theatres to release (their films). Most of the theatres are controlled by these four families. How will fresh talent come up? The government also is supporting them," she claimed.

HOW CAN MAA BAN ME?

Talking about MAA denying her a membership, she said, "Did they take permission from the 900 members before banning me from MAA? They didn't take signatures from them. How can only 2-3 members take a decision on behalf of 900 members? They have not shown any signatures or anything that all the members agree with their decision. I'm complaining about the casting couch. They have to discuss with all the women members, if the casting couch is there, are they facing any problems... They didn't take any survey from the women."

"Sivaji Raja (an office-bearer of MAA) has complaints against him. His own parents went and told some TV channels that he is not feeding them. Naresh (veteran actor and senior member of MAA) said we have to clean that place (where she stripped) with water. That is a big crime. How can you talk like that? I'm not an untouchable girl. Personally, he has married four girls. He has left three girls. How can you talk about a girl like that? You don't have any right," Sri added.

"How can they ban me? That is only a society which is created by a few members. How can they rule the whole film industry? It's a big business. How can you control the people without their consent? 900 people have to tell their decision, then only they can ban me," she said.

She also called them out for callously displaying her application form publicly. "I applied in MAA. How can they show my application to the public? On YouTube, you can see my address, my phone number, everything. I don't have any security at all. You can also check on YouTube. I'm getting lakhs of calls and people are irritating me like anything," she said.

MAA OFFERED ME CRORES OF RUPEES TO KEEP QUIET

Sri claimed that when she approached MAA, they offered her a settlement, if she did not go to the media. "They were willing to give me crores and crores," she said. The actress was all for solving it amicably, but she said that they were not willing to incorporate any changes. "I did not do it only for myself, I did it for all the girls and women who are facing this problem," she said.

Her act has been dismissed as a publicity stunt, but she revealed that she had four offers in hand when she decided to raise her voice. They have all since been rescinded, but she is unfazed. "I will fight till my last breath. They have already smashed my career. If I get any offer, then I will do, otherwise I will go back to TV (Sri was a news presenter and anchor before she entered films). But I will not stop fighting," she said.

"Till today, KCR government (referring to K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana) is not talking about this thing. And KCR's daughter is also in a very big position. Still, as a girl, she is not opening her mouth. Why are these two protecting them? One girl is completely naked in front of the film chamber and lots of people are watching it very curiously. He has to answer the society, being a CM," she said.
