Jane Renouardt began her career by playing the role of Jane, Max's wife (Max Linder) in the series of short silent films. She was the first director of the Daunou Theater which she had fitted out after its construction in 1921. The theater opened its doors on December 30, 1921. She married the actor Fernand Gravey in 1928. She is buried in the Saint-Cloud Cemetery (Hauts-de-Seine).
