ஷாம்சுன்னாஹர் ஸ்ம்ரிட்டி, போரி மோனி என்ற மேடைப் பெயரால் அறியப்பட்டவர், இவர் ஒரு வங்காளதேச நடிகை மற்றும் மாடல் ஆவார். அவரது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க படங்களில் அரோ பலோபாஷ்போ டோமே, ரோக்டோ, தூய ஜெய் மோன் மற்றும் ஸ்வப்னாஜால் ஆகியவை அடங்கும். அவர் டிசம்பர் 2020 இல் ஃபோர்ப்ஸ் ஆசியாவின் "100 டிஜிட்டல் ஸ்டார்ஸ்" இதழில் பட்டியலிடப்பட்டார். போரி மோனி 24 அக்டோபர் 1992 அன்று சத்கிரா மாவட்டத்தில் ஸ்மிருதி ஷம்சுன்னாஹர்[3][4] என்ற பெயரில் பிறந்தார். குழந்தைப் பருவத்தில் பெற்றோரை இழந்த பிறகு, அவர் பிறோஜ்பூரில் உள்ள தனது தாய்வழி தாத்தா பாட்டி வீட்டில் வளர்ந்தார், அங்கு அவர் தனது மேல்நிலை மற்றும் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளிகளின் சான்றிதழ்களை முடித்தார்.[5]

ஆகஸ்ட் 4, 2021 அன்று, ரேபிட் ஆக்ஷன் பட்டாலியன் (RAB) பானாவில் உள்ள பொரி மோனியின் வீட்டைச் சோதனை செய்தது.

Shamsunnahar Smrity, known by her stage name Pori Moni, is a Bangladeshi actress and model. Her notable films include Aro Bhalobashbo Tomay, Rokto, Pure Jay Mon and Swapnajaal. She was listed on Forbes Asia’s "100 Digital Stars" magazine in December 2020.^[2]

Early life[edit]

Pori Moni was born on 24 October 1992 as Smriti Shamsunnahar,^[3][4] in Satkhira District. After losing her parents in childhood, she grew up in her maternal grandparents' house in Pirojpur where she completed her Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools Certificates.^[5]

Career[edit]

Pori Moni's first film, Rana Plaza, based on Rana Plaza disaster,^[6] was denied certification by the Bangladesh Film Censor Board stating that this was a national disaster and people might get wrong notions about it.^[7] Her second film Bhalobasha Shimaheen was released on 13 February 2015. She co-starred with Shakib Khan in Aro Bhalobashbo Tomay and Dhumketu.^[8]

Personal life[edit]

Pori Moni married her cousin Ismail Hossain in 2010 but they ended up in divorce after 2 years.^[9] She then married footballer Ferdous Kabir Sourav in April 2012.^[10] In 2019, Pori was engaged to RJ Tamim Hasan, but later they broke up.^[11][12][13] In March 2020, she married film director Kamruzzaman Roni.^[1

On June 8, 2021, Pori Moni accused Nasir Uddin Mahmood, a businessman and politician of Jatiya Party, of sexual assault on her at the Boat Club in Ashulia, Uttara ^[15][16] and asked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for justice on Facebook.^[17][18] On June 14, the main accused Mahmood along with another businessman Tuhin Siddique Omi were arrested by Bangladesh Police.^[19] A week later, Pori Moni was accused of vandalism at the Gulshan All Community Club. Club President, K.M. Alamgir Iqbal, accused Pori Moni of vandalizing the club on June 7 night at a press conference.^[20][21] Later accused Nasir Uddin Mahmood got bailed^[22][23][24]

Detention[edit]

On 4 August 2021, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) raided Pori Moni's house in Banani. She was arrested with alleged charge of Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), Crystal methamphetamine and 30 bottles of foreign liquor from the house.^{[25][26][27][28][29][30]} According to witnesses, Lt Col Khairul Islam, in-charge of RAB’s intelligence wing, was seen entering the premises of the residence along with several plain-clothed DB officials.^[25][26] She had been under the spotlight since she made allegations of attempted rape and murder against Nasir Uddin Mahmood.^[31] On 5 August, A Dhaka court magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted a 4-day remand against Pori Moni, the film producer Nazrul Islam Raj who was director of her first film and two of their associates in connection with separate narcotics cases filed under the Narcotics Control Act 1990.^{[32][33][34][35][36]}

On 31 August, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayes granted Pori Moni bail and she was released the next morning after a total 27 days of detention.^[3
