  DACOITS OF CHAMBAL  The Ravines of Chambal once upon a time was famous for Notorious Dacoits. Expanding over an area of 8ooo square miles, the Chambal valley stretches across the three Indian States of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), Madhya Pradesh (M.P.) and Rajasthan. At an 80km drive from Agra, the land is full of deep ravines and forests, which have been the home to generations of outlaws for decades. According to Merriam-Webster, a concubine is “a woman with whom a man cohabits without being married”, and has a “social status in a household below that of a wife.”[3] All of Muhammad’s concubines were his slaves. Traditionally, the Paravas had been for centuries, Pearl-Divers - until the 19th century, when pearl-oysters in the Gulf of Mannar, between India and Sri Lanka, became scarce. Tuticorin city in Tamilnadu, India, still a stronghold of the Parava community, was the centre of the pearl trade. The Paravas later diversified into fishing, salt-making and other maritime professions.
