RIO - OLYMPIC 2016 - THREE AMERICAN GIRL ARMY

RIO DE JANEIRO —

It has been only one weekend, and it already has been a dominant Olympics
for three American women.

Goalkeeper Hope Solo made six saves against France to earn her 102nd career shutout.

Simone Biles, winner of three straight World Championships, obliterated the field in qualification and has a shot at five gold medals in women’s gymnastics.

Katie Ledecky broke her own world record in the 400-meter freestyle — and it wasn’t even her best swimming event.
