BORN 1948 OCTOBER 6-2017 APRIL 27

வினோத் கண்ணா (6 அக்டோபர் 1948 – 27 ஏப்ரல் 2017) ஓர் புகழ்பெற்ற இந்திய திரைப்பட நடிகர்,திரைப்படத் தயாரிப்பாளர் மற்றும் அரசியல்வாதி ஆவார்.[2]

இளமை
கமலா மற்றும் கிருஷ்ணசந்த் கண்ணாவிற்கு பிறந்த ஐந்து குழந்தைகளில் வினோத்தும் ஒருவர். கிருஷ்ணசந்த் கண்ணா ஆடைகள்,சாயம் மற்றும் வேதிப்பொருட்கள் தொடர்பான வியாபாரம் செய்து வந்தார்.வினோத் கண்ணாவிற்கு மூன்று சகோதரிகள் மற்றும் ஒரு சகோதரர்.இந்தியப் பிரிவினையின்போது குடும்பத்துடன் மும்பைக்கு குடிபெயர்ந்தனர்.

மும்பையில் அவர் ராணி மேரி பள்ளியில் இரண்டாம் வகுப்பு வரை பயின்றார். அதன் பின் மும்பை கோட்டைப் பகுதியிலுள்ள புனித சேவியர் மேல்நிலை பள்ளிக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டார். 1957ஆம் ஆண்டு தில்லிக்கு குடிபெயர்ந்து அங்கு தில்லி பப்ளிக் பள்ளியில் படித்தார். 1960இல் குடும்பம் மீண்டும் மும்பைக்கு மாறியபோதும் தேவ்லாலியிலுள்ள பார்னெசு பள்ளியில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டார். அப்பள்ளியின் தங்குவிடுதியில் இருந்தபோதே அவர் கண்ட இந்தித் திரைப்படம் முகல்-ஏ- ஆசம் அவருக்குத் திரைப்பட ஆர்வத்தைத் தூண்டியது. ஸைடந்ஹாம் கல்லூரியில் வணிகவியலில் பட்டபடிப்பை முடித்தார்.[3]

திரைவாழ்வு

வினோத் கண்ணா 1968ஆம் ஆண்டு சுனில் தத் நடித்த மன் கா பிரீத் என்ற திரைப்படத்தில் வில்லனாக அறிமுகமானார். [4]1968ம் ஆண்டு திரையுலகில் நுழைந்த வினோத் கன்னா, மேரே ஆப்னே, ஜெயில் யாத்ரா, தில்வாலே, வாண்டட் உள்ளிட்ட 141 படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார்.

அரசியல் வாழ்வு
1997ஆம் ஆண்டு பாரதிய ஜனதா கட்சியில் இணைந்து பஞ்சாபின் குர்தாஸ்பூரிலிருந்து தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் ஆனார்.அதே தொகுதியிலிருந்து 1999ஆம் ஆண்டும் மீண்டும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். சூலை 2002இல் இந்திய ஆய அமைச்சரவையில் பண்பாடு மற்றும் சுற்றுலா அமைச்சராகப் பணியாற்றினார். ஆறு மாதங்களில் இந்திய வெளிவிவகாரத் துறையில் மாநில அமைச்சராக மாற்றப்பட்டார். 2004ஆம் ஆண்டில் மீண்டும் தமது தொகுதியில் வென்ற வினோத் கண்ணா 2009ஆம் ஆண்டு பொதுத்தேர்தல்களில் தோல்வியைத் தழுவினார்.

சொந்த வாழ்க்கை

வினோத் கண்ணா தனது முதல் மனைவி கீதாஞ்சலியை கல்லூரியில் சந்தித்தார். [15] 1971 ஆம் ஆண்டில் கன்னா அவரை திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டார் [48] இத்திருமணத்தின் மூலம் ராகுல் மற்றும் அக்ஷய் பிறந்தனர் . இருவரும் பாலிவுட் நடிகர்கள் ஆனார்கள். 1975 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அவர் ஓஷோவின் சீடராகவும், 1980 களின் முற்பகுதியில் அமெரிக்காவில் ஒரேகனில் உள்ள ரஜினீஸ்புறம் சென்றார். அங்கே ரஜினீஸ் சீடர்கள் முறைகேட்டில் ஈடுபட்டதால் 1984-85இந்தியாவிற்கு துரத்தி அடிக்கப்பட்டனர் . இவ்வாறாக ரஜினீஸ்உறவும் முறிந்தது .முதல் மனைவி கீதாஞ்சலியின் உறவும் முறிந்து விவாகரத்து அளிக்கப்பட்டது .

1990 ஆம் ஆண்டில்,கன்னா தொழிலதிபர் ஷரயு டஃப்தாரி மகளான கவிதா டஃப்தாரியை மணந்தார். [51] இந்த திருமணத்தின் மூலமாக 1991 இல் ஷாக்ஷியும் ,பின்னர் ஷிராதா என்ற ஒரு மகளும் பிறந்தனர்

இறப்பு

வினோத்கன்னா கடுமையான வயிற்று போக்கு வியாதியால் துன்பம் அடைந்தார் .எனவே குர்கானில் உள்ள ரெலியன்ஸ் மருத்துவ மனையில் ஏப்ரல்2 , 2017 இல் சேர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டார் .ஆனால் அவருக்கு சிறுநீர் பையில் புற்று நோய் தாக்கி இருந்ததால் ஏப்ரல் 27 ,2017 இல் மரணம் அடைந்தார் . அன்றே வோர்லி சுடுகாட்டில் தகனம் செய்யப்பட்டார்

Vinod Khanna was one of the most good looking and celebrated actors of his time. He made headlines not only for his films, but also for controversies related to his love affairs and his association with godman Osho or Bhagwan Rajneesh. On the veteran actor's 74th birth anniversary today, his son, Akshaye Khanna's old interview has gone viral in which he talks about his father leaving his family for Osho.

In the early 70s, many celebrities from all over the world got associated with Osho and joined the controversial Rajneesh Movement. While international celebrities like Beatles joined the movement, Indian stars like Parveen Babi, Mahesh Bhatt and Vinod Khanna also followed the cult and became Osho's disciples.

In 1975, Vinod Khanna left his family comprising a wife and two kids, Akshaye and Rahul, and moved to Oregon. Akshaye was just a toddler back then and didn't understand why his father left them. When he turned 15 or 16, he realised who was Osho. The actor talked about his father and how him leaving his family for Osho affected them in an interview to Mid-Day.

Akshaye Khanna said, "(The influence) to not only leave his family, but to take ‘sanyaas’ (renunciation). Sanyaas means giving up your life in totality - family is [only] a part of it. It’s a life-changing decision, which he felt that he needed to take at the time. As a five-year-old, it was impossible [for me] to understand it. I can understand it now."

He added, "In the sense that something must have moved him so deeply inside, that he felt that that kind of decision was worth it for him. Especially, when you have everything in life. And when life doesn’t look as though there’s much more that you can have. A very basic fault-line/ earthquake has to occur within oneself to make that decision. But also stick by it. One can make the decision and say this doesn’t suit me - let’s go back."

Akshaye clarified that unlike the common belief that Vinod returned after growing disenchanted with the movement, Vinod Khanna came back only because the commune was disbanded by the US government. He said, “It was just the fact that the commune was disbanded, destroyed, and everybody had to find their own way. That’s when he came back. Otherwise I don’t think he would’ve ever come back."

Vinod Khanna, who made his Bollywood debut with 1968 film Mann Ka Meet, breathed his last on April 27, 2017. He was suffering from cancer. After initially playing negative roles, he got his first break as a hero in Hum Tum Aur Woh (1971). Vinod Khanna also had a political stint when he joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1997 and was elected from Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab. He served as Union Minister for Culture and Tourism in July 2002 in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government.
